Re-Roll

The Comic

Re-Roll is a World of Warcraft based webcomic updated weekly (Sundays) as my time permits.

The main character is Larscelia, a level 80 Blood Elf Rogue, with a penchant for petty thievery and an addiction to mana crystals. Through her, I’ll share with the intrawebs funny things that happen in WoW and express my opinions on things that are going on in the game.

The title is dervied from the concept of rolling dice to determine a character’s base stats in table-top games such as Dungeons and Dragons. It has carried over to MMORPGs (Massive Multi-Player On-Line Role Playing Games) to mean deleting your character and starting them over. Often you’ll hear in game chat to the effect of “What’s the way to get higher DPS?” to which a reply will be heard “Reroll a Death Knight.”

The Artist

I’m a 25 year old female artist, from the Seattle/Tacoma area. Some of you may know me as Loreli/LoreliAoD/Loreli-AngelofDeath. I did two years in the Seattle Art Institute’s Animation program and graduated in 2005 with an Associates. I’m an avid gamer, console, table-top, LARPS…

I spent about 5 years administrating for an IRC RPG, vowing I would never play a game that boxed me into a pre-made avatar and charged me a monthly fee. The Christmas of 2005 I gifted my sister with a new HD for her computer. After installing it, she requested I install World of Warcraft. I knew a few friends who played and after finally getting the game installed at around midnight, I wanted to test it. Seeing as my sister was then fast asleep, I started a guest account and rolled my first character, a human mage.

After bouncing around a few servers, I finally settled on Argent Dawn with a Night Elf Rogue by the name of Lorelitymara. Loreli and I had a good run up through the release of Burning Crusade, during which time I also managed to raise a Resto Shaman by the name of Arliece to 70 and get into raid healing. After the release of Wrath of the Lich King, there was a bit of falling out amongst the guild I was raiding with, as often happens and I made the transfer to Hyjal.

You can still find me there joking and raiding with an amazing guild of smart alecs known as the Schadenfreudian Slips. We may not have cleared Ulduar yet, but damn we have fun! Best. Guild. Evar. I went Horde with a lovely BE rogue named (you guessed it) Larscelia and I’m in the process of bringing up a Tauren Shaman, Thistlehoof.

I drink Coke Zero, adore Cheesecake and dabble in costuming.
